We are seeking a Director of Total Awards t o join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.
What you get to do:
This position will ensure that the Total Rewards programs are equitable and competitive, aligned with organizational values and driving business results. This role will be global in scope as we grow and scale the organization. This position will report to the Vice President, People Operations.

What you will contribute:
Compensation Planning:

  • Build a Total Rewards strategy that attracts and retains top talent
  • Ensure compensation programs are equitable, competitive, and aligned with the company values to drive exceptional individual and organizational performance.
  • Consult with leadership and operations teams on Incentive Compensation plans and facilitate the design process; ensure appropriate governance controls are in place
  • Partner with key business leaders and People Operations Business Partners to ensure compensation programs are consistent and compliant and meet various business segment needs and are well understood by leaders and employees
  • Own annual organizational compensation planning experience including leading and managing variable bonus, long-term incentive awards, annual bonus calculations, merit increase and equity grant recommendations
  • Lead compensation aspects of M&A activities as needed


Benefits and Total Rewards:

  • Develop and administer employee benefit programs that support overall wellness from a physical, mental, and financial perspective
  • Measure, understand and develop total rewards strategies that strengthen employee sentiment and engagement, staying current on market trends


Policies and Compliance:

  • Implement FMLA, other employee leaves and ADA procedures in compliance with company policy as well as legal requirements
  • Ensure compensation and benefits are managed in a way that is equitable as well as in compliance with government regulations
  • Play a key role in creating human-first process and compliance


What you bring to Uplight:

  • Strong experience developing Total Rewards programs
  • Strong program, project, and process management skills
  • A passion for Uplight's mission, vision, and core values.
  • Strong consulting, analytical and planning skills
  • The ability to operationalize at scale, in an agile manner, by balancing the need for both speed and quality. An understanding that high quality work will take multiple iterations and feedback loops from a matrixed set of stakeholders.
  • Prior experience working with officers, executives, and Board members within a Compensation Committee framework
  • Experience in managing stock based compensation programs

Salary Range: $110,000 to $125,000
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
