Overview

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for directing the strategic and day-to-day functions and activities of the human resources organization to include, but not limited to: Talent Acquisition, Succession Planning, Organizational Development and Retention, Performance Management and Career Development (including performance reviews, performance plans, and training), Employee Relations, Compliance, Compensation and Benefits.

What You’ll Do:
Actively participates with business leadership in strategy development and operational planning
Build, develop and manage a human resources function ensuring that HR Services are strongly aligned with and drives organizational objectives
Lead and oversee full-cycle recruitment
Establish strong partnering relationships with cross-functional management (Operations, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, etc.) Understanding the inter-dependencies of business unit plans and functions, anticipates issues, and works collaboratively to resolution
Provide leadership strong analyses of HR metrics for effective planning, reporting, and decision making
Assess organizational capabilities and identifies skill gaps. Actively participates with business leadership to source, evaluate, select and on-board talent
Partner with team members to support an employee experience that makes them feel energized and empowered
Lead the sourcing, hiring, development, and retention while ensuring a pipeline of talent.
Develop and oversee job evaluations and annual review programs. Collaboratively create development plans and coach individuals in achieving them
Proactively develop and manage strategic benefit programs; work closely with brokers to identify a balance of cost effective and competitive programs, presents leadership with out of the box concepts for benefit program design, identifies opportunities to support effective programs beneficial to employee wellness
Evaluate and benchmark compensation programs to establish and ensure internal equity and external competitiveness
Advise and coach managers on resolving employee issues. Personally manage complex or significant employee relations issues, including investigations, documentation and resolutions
Direct, recommend and proactively communicates appropriate implementation of HR policies, practices and initiatives
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance including but not limited to: equal employment opportunity, wage and hour, and work authorization; staying abreast of pending and new legislation; prepares and interprets employee statistics for government reporting
Together with the leadership team, build and drive an employee culture of engagement; promote and lead others to ensure a positive work environment that supports the organization’s high-performance culture.
Lead process, selection, and contracts with outside suppliers to ensure market competitive employee benefit programs in addition to other employment related services, such as temporary employees, search firms, relocation services, etc.
Develop and closely manages the human resources budget
Manage employee data in HRIS system with 100% accuracy

What You’ll Need:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in business or applicable field of study
Master’s degree in Human Resources Management or closely related field strongly preferred
10+ years in a progressive leadership role, as a Human Resources generalist, in fast paced environments is a must

Proven leadership experience as an HR Director with thorough knowledge of HR principles and best practices
Possess a strong strategic mindset with ability to drive measurable success and balance tactical execution
Demonstrated exceptional business acumen
Experienced managing multi-state and CO jurisdictional legal standards
Proactive in anticipating needs; and develop and execute strategies and plans to address.
Measurable success in partnering with executive team to lead organizational growth and efficiencies
Adept at managing multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.
Exceptional knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
Effective collaboration skills to work efficiently and influence individual and teams, not only within the organization, but across a spectrum of external stakeholders
Demonstrated success in recruitment, training and development of top talent
Comfortable communication style that is well received within all levels of the organization and external relationships; presentation skills that are lively and effective
Manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities
Highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Demonstrate a high level of computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, KeyNote; experience with Trinet a plus

PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP certifications are highly desirable
