The Role:
SAFEbuilt seeks a Benefits Manager/Senior Benefits Analyst in our Loveland Office who will be responsible for the Benefits support of all employees.  This is a hands on individual contributor role. As a strategic business partner, the role will analyze, design, implement and administer all benefit programs. This position will partner with internal staff and third-party vendors to ensure high quality delivery of all benefits and compliance of all plans and programs.  This role is key to the company’s strategic goals
 
Based in Loveland, CO, this position will be partnering with managers and employees to provide consultation and support on People initiatives in the areas of regional benefits, leave administration and wellness, while supporting the company’s overall strategic goals as an Employer of Choice.
 
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
  • Partners with broker to determine best vendor and service provider in each aspect of health, welfare and ancillary offerings and administration
  • Act as a partner/advisor for employees on all benefits programs across the company
  • Main point of contact with Health and Welfare Benefits broker, third party administrators, outsource partners and other benefit vendors as needed
  • Main point of contact for Merger & Acquisition activity relating to benefits. Including but not limited to: reviewing contracts, conducting benefits and cost comparison, gathering claims data, preparing orientation presentations, and conducting benefits training to acquired staff
  • Determines employee benefit practices by benchmarking best practices; researching industry, competitor offerings and employment trends; tracking legislation and estimating impact
  • Manages vendor relationships
  • Owns and champions the company’s wellness program
  • Oversee leave management to include: FMLA, CFRA, Leave of Absence, Workers Compensation, Short-term Disability, etc.
  • Responsible for 401K plan, reporting and audit coordination
  • Seek and develop creative solutions to business challenges and needs
  • Builds and prepares analytics, metrics and reporting
  • Participate in the design and migration of current our systems to Ultipro to include work flow design and reporting; responsible for HRM benefits configuration and testing
  • Coordinates transfer of data to external vendors, plan providers, auditors, and consultants
  • Audits benefit plans for enrollment accuracies and billing
  • Manages online benefit enrollment system including Health Spending Accounts, COBRA Administration, Health and Welfare System and employee 401k plan
  • Analyzes results of surveys and develops specific recommendations for review by Senior Management
Project Management:
  • Manages large, complex Benefits projects throughout the project lifecycle including delivery of project plans, estimates, management presentations, user communications, communications coordination and project team supervision
  • Performs Business Requirements Analysis
  • Plans and executes communications campaigns, implementations and education initiatives
  • Develops clear user documentation including Brochures, Online Content, etc.
  • Assesses client information needs and develops HR Reports
Benefits Leadership:
  • Possesses and applies comprehensive HR domain knowledge when devising solutions or servicing the needs of the client base; Builds breadth of HR professional knowledge across all HR domains
  • Displays a high level of expertise in the Benefits and Total Rewards discipline – stays abreast of market trends and applies best practices by maintaining external focus
  • Leads less experienced Benefits Analysts by providing consulting, mentoring, training, and development Champions technology-enabling change initiatives across the organization
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Business and system analysis skills
  • Federal, State and Local compliance domain knowledge and experience
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related degree
  • CEBS Certification preferred but not required
  • 8+ years’ benefit administration experience
  • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending affecting employee benefit programs, including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, SECTION 125, Workers Compensation, Medicare, COBRA, and Social Security and DOL requirements
  • Experience building and managing a company wellness program
  • Experience managing external vendors
  • Proven experience with on-line benefit systems
  • Previous experience working with all levels within an organization to include Legal, Finance and Senior Management
  • Highly analytical/Strong data analytics skills
  • Ability to problem-solve using logic and critical thinking
  • Ability to multitask by handling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated collaborative and relationship building skills
  • Must have strong organizational and project management skills
