Benefits and People Operations Partner
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Udemy is seeking a Benefits & People Ops Partner to join the growing People Operations team. The Benefits & People Ops Partner will play a key role in scaling the Benefits function in the US, Turkey, Ireland and Brazil in addition to providing support to People Ops projects and initiatives. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of US benefits experience, strong attention to detail, a desire to learn and a proactive attitude.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Provide a high level of customer service to employees, managers, people partners and recruiters on 401(k), benefits, wellness, and leave policies.
- Develop engaging employee communications, wiki resources and onboarding materials to support benefits and wellness initiatives.
- Manage Udemy’s wellness program, partnering with vendors to provide ongoing education, events and activities for employees.
- Continually assess the effectiveness and utilization of wellness programs in addition to evaluating opportunities to add or replace vendors.
- Partner with the People Ops Lead and local People Team members to manage global benefit renewals and open enrollment periods.
- Ensure benefit plan compliance with regulatory filings and updates, notices, ACA mandates & reporting, plan audits, non-discrimination testing, and employee benefit files.
- Partner with Finance, benefit carriers and wellness vendors to establish processes for billing reconciliation and approval.
- Develop and administer a high-touch leave of absence process that supports employees and managers while ensuring compliance with Udemy policies as well as federal and state regulations.
- Work with the larger team to support People Ops processes and projects across the employee lifecycle.

- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
- 3+ years of US benefits experience.
- An analytical mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Experience developing engaging employee communications and resources.
- Project/program management experience.
- Ability to prioritize and stay organized in a constantly evolving work environment.
- Ability to maintain, own and strengthen relationships with vendors.
- Workday experience a plus.
