Certifications and/or experience in Guidewire policy, billing or claims and Digital portals.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader including:

  • Possessing hands-on experience in end to end implementation/customization/upgrading of GW Portals and integrating it with Guidewire Policy Center, Billing Center, Claim Center, Contact Center through Edge backend and Javascript/ReactJs/AngularJS frontend as per client requirements;
  • Developing front-end digital capabilities (using Javascript JSON, NodeJS, AngularJS/ReactJS) that communicate with the Guidewire Core applications through the Edge Services API offering new functionalities to the digital user community;
  • Utilizing GOSU Language for Guidewire implementation projects (Core Applications: PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and ClaimCenter);
  • Leveraging GW Portals such as ProducerEngage, CustomerEngage, VendorEngage, ServiceRepEngage;
  • Coordinating build, deployment, and code merge activities;
  • Working with client business SMSs to understand the requirements and translate them into viable solutions; Maintaining and fixing issues in various environments such as Dev, QA, UAT and Prod;
  • Possessing experience involved in unit testing and documentation;
  • Utilizing Guidewire Studio, Guidewire Cloud Console, Visual Code Studio/JetBrains, JSON, NodeJS, HTML, CSS, Rest API, Git/Bitbucket;
  • Possessing experience in Web service hosting and consuming, using Guidewire studio toolkits;
  • Having familiarity with XML Coding;
  • Utilizing ANT, MAVEN and code repository such as Clear Case, SVN, TFS; and,
  • Preparing, communicating, facilitating, and presenting cogently complex written and verbal materials to and/or for all levels of industry audiences, clients and internal staff and management.


Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or proven track record in various project lifecycle processes such as:

  • Backlog grooming;
  • Sprint work allocation;
  • Status reporting;
  • Defect management;
  • Retrospective;
  • Sprint review;
  • Stand-ups; and,
  • Financial analysis.


Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or proven track record in property and casualty insurance such as:

  • Personal Lines;
  • Commercial Lines;
  • Direct and agency distribution channels;
  • Insurance contracts;
  • Product models;
  • Policy administration;
  • Claims; Billing; and,
  • Advisory (ISO/NCCI/AAIS) agencies, regulatory and compliance agencies.


Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in insurance business applications such as:

  • Policy administration;
  • Claim management;
  • Customer billing;
  • Agency / customer portals;
  • Reinsurance;
  • Enterprise data warehouse; and,
  • Document management systems (production, imaging, storage) - as a functional user or as a business system analyst.


Demonstrates a thorough level of abilities with, and/or a proven record of success as both an individual contributor and team member, identifying and addressing client needs by:

  • Writing and designing process maps;
  • Preparing business requirements, documenting 'As Is' and 'To Be' processes and delivering process flows;
  • Assisting in the development and/or implementation of Target Operating Models;
  • Coordinating project input;
  • Defining reporting structures to management;
  • Documenting functions formally;
  • Writing process documentation; and,
  • Making prompt and practical business decisions.

The salary range for this position is: $84,000 - $202,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
