About the role


Our technical team is looking for a highly skilled Go Live Engineer with strong technical and communication skills.  The successful candidate will be a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with a proven track record of experience working with AVD conducting deployments, troubleshooting and technical demos. The position will support the Western Time Zones.


What you'll do


You’ll dive right in and be an instrumental member of our technical team and will be exposed to the Nerdio platform and our internal and external partners.

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following:

  • Work closely with our Partner Sales Managers (PSM's) to support sales with highly technical Microsoft Channel Partners and MSP's (Managed Service Providers)
  • Help Nerdio partners with their first several account implementations
  • Assist fellow Nerdio Support Engineers with trouble tickets and problem solving
  • Collaborate with technical team members to maintain, design, and enhance current tools and processes
  • Contribute to technical knowledge base and documentation
  • Contribute to the creative process of product enhancements and new features
  • Collaboration towards creating meaningful metrics towards go lives, partner implementation and MRR goals.

Qualifications

  • Prior AVD deployments
  • Experience with Intune, FSLogix and Active Directory (AAD, Azure AD DS, AD DS)
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Fast-paced mentality and able to make decisions quickly
  • Works with a sense of high urgency
  • Comfortable with and able to work and deliver excellent results within short cycle times
  • Comfortable working with highly technical customers
  • Tolerates with a high degree of uncertainty and change
  • Experience conducting technical product demos

Required Experience

  • Experience with virtualization technologies, preferably Azure Virtual Desktop
  • Microsoft networking and applications (i.e., Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, Terminal Services)
  • Firewalls, VPNs, and TCP/IP networking
  • Shared storage systems (i.e., SAN, NAS)
  • Project management and planning experience 
  • High degree of empathy and creativity with end users/partners
  • Competent understanding of networking layers and resources

Education and Technical Background

  • Completed a degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline 
  • AZ-104 certification - Microsoft Azure Administrator - preferred
  • AZ-140 certification - Configuring and Operating Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop – preferred
