Why The Futures App (TFA)

The Company’s Inception + Early Traction:

The Futures App, Inc (TFA) is a fast-growing sports tech start-up that was founded in 2021 by three former players (Jake Hirabayashi, Colin Brophy & Ryan Braun). The initial product was largely inspired by Jake’s time playing for the Minnesota Twins. While playing for the Twins, Jake & his teammates were dissatisfied with how most of the instruction was organized and disseminated throughout the org. So he designed a prototype and pitched some of the Twins Staff. After getting early validation from their staff Jake, Colin & Ryan started working together to raise capital, build a stage appropriate team & build an MVP.

We launched TFA in August of 2022 with a single SoCal baseball organization so we could be hands on with our customer and learn as much as possible. Since then we have grown rapidly and now sport a customer base that exceeds 140 organizations from across the country and at every level of amateur sports.

Product & Traction:

Our product is a B2B solution that enabled coaches to better train, develop and communicate with the athletes on their team. We provide coaches with their own private admin to populate the platform with their own content, a mobile app experience that allowed for easy video analysis, remote coaching and strength and conditioning.

Benefits:

  • 💰 Equity and ownership in a fast-growing company.
  • 💝 Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision policies
    • TFA covers 75% for the employee and 50% for dependents
  • 😷 Comprehensive disability coverage to ensure peace of mind in case of unexpected illness or injury
  • 🏦 Traditional 401(k) & 401(k) Roth with 3.5% company match
  • 🏝 Unlimited PTO to reset, recharge, and refresh
  • 🎉 Join a team where your ideas are valued, and innovation, collaboration, and creativity are the cornerstones of our work environment.

Must be legal to work in the US. We aren’t able to support work visas right now.
