Reserve Trust is a Colorado Trust Company building the most innovative system for developing and delivering financial services. We are looking for a payment systems expert with a strong background in bank operations to help us digitally transform and build from the ground up a next generation banking and payments solution with an initial focus on B2B payments.

As a leader in the Reserve Trust operations team, you’ll play a critical role in launching our next generation banking and payments ecosystem. You will work closely with our product, sales and technology team to ensure that new features and solutions solve business challenges efficiently and intuitively. You’ll collaborate with smart, talented people and trail blaze new solutions in the financial services industry.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Operations
  • Oversight of daily payment operations, including ACH and Wire.
  • Ensure verification, submission, and processing of all payments and exceptions.
  • Responsible for analysis and resolution of all exceptions. 
  • Deliver incredible customer service, including implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop and train team for operational excellence, compliance, and customer service.
  • Maintenance and Continuous Improvement
  • Enhance change management for internal, external, and mandatory events.
  • Assist in the implementation and support of new business and products.
  • Continually maintain and improve adherence to all established procedures and controls to improve customer experience and enhance efficiency.
  • Facilitate Root Cause Analyses and recommend proactive improvements to existing processes.
  • Implement process performance assessments and develop recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Reporting 
  • Daily operational process health.
  • Budget compliance and variance.
  • Project status.
  • Customer facing.
  • Risk/events/customer incidents and complaints.
  • Requirements:
  • Demonstrated deep subject matter expertise in payments, evidenced by certification (AAP in this case), tenure and scale of experience (min - 6+ yrs).
  • Excellent people management as evidenced by hiring, retention, progression of team and operational execution success in earlier roles.
  • Project management skills and experience (a must) and certification (a plus)
  • Deep functional understanding and experience with core processing technology and vendors (FedACH, FedWire, AML/OFAC technologies, multiple core vendors, business continuity tools & protocols)
  • Ideally the experience of building operations to support new payment functionality.

  • Strong Organizational skills, adaptability to frequently changing demands, and ability to appropriately prioritize numerous open projects.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in applying technology or automation to solve problems.
  • Knowledge and experience managing payment risk and compliance is a plus.
