As the leader of the Accounting department, the Vice President of Accounting will be responsible for owning the timely, accurate, and efficient delivery of the books. You’ll be responsible for the success of this growing team, developing and formalizing processes, and partnering with key stakeholders across the organization. You will play an integral role in M&A integration. This individual will be reporting into the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach and mentor a team of 15 accountants.
  • Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP and IFRS standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the monthly/quarterly accounting close process.
  • Work closely with FP&A in monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Ensure debt covenant compliance.
  • Own cash forecasting and reporting.
  • Assist in M&A due diligence and integration.
  • Work with internal legal, HR, FP&A and operational teams and executive management to support CFO as needed.
  • Champion the continuous review and modification of the close process and accounting procedures and policies to enhance accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate effective completion of audit fieldwork and interact with external audit firm, particularly in the areas of accounting policy and revenue recognition.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely tax reporting and filings in the US and internationally and working closely with tax advisor.

Requirements for Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • CPA required and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 10+ years with significant supervisory experience.
  • A combination of “Big Four” or public company experience is highly preferable.
  • Expert in leading Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Financial Reporting and Financial Operations functions with the ability to be hands-on.
  • Proven leadership skills, demonstrating integrity, courage, transparency, and the ability to build trust as well as a high-performing team.
  • Detail oriented with a strong track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Ability and willingness to work in the details but to communicate at a senior executive level.
  • Substantive experience in revenue accounting, technical accounting and financial close and reporting
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic organization requiring flexibility and commitment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Does well with ambiguity, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.

  • A combination of “Big Four” public accounting experience and public company experience is highly preferable.
  • Experience leading Accounting function through M&A.
  • Ability and willingness to work in the details but to communicate at a senior executive level.
  • Substantive experience in revenue accounting, technical accounting and financial close and reporting
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic organization requiring flexibility and commitment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Initiative and ability to work independently given general guidelines of goals.

  • Intimate experience with system integration (SalesForce and NetSuite)
  • Does well with ambiguity, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about mentoring & coaching
  • SaaS experience
  • PE experience

Compensation Range: $160,000.00 to $180,000.00 + variable
