WHAT WE HOPE FOR YOU...


The Underwriting Team Lead will be responsible for providing mentorship for individual contributors, while also managing a small pipeline. In this role, you are excited about the opportunity to grow in your leadership skills, take on new responsibilities, and continue to eventually grow your career into a management role.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...

  • Responsible for pipeline management and to determine assignment and reassignment of loans
  • Act as internal support for the Underwriting POD Manager, as applicable
  • Provide training and mentorship to Underwriting staff on a regular basis and act as their source for all questions and needs
  • Manage complex loans and assist team members in solving complex problems within the Underwriting process
  • Approve payroll, manage time off (sick days and PTO) by tracking and notifying the client and Underwriting POD Manager or MOD
  • Act as point of contact and subject matter expert for Maxwell management and client
  • Provide feedback to Maxwell management and Client on SLA’s, pipeline management, loan assignments, etc. 
  • Manage small pipeline of loans in addition to mentorship responsibilities

IDEALLY YOU'LL HAVE...

  • Have extensive work within the Underwriting function, preferably 5+ years
  • Experience training and/or mentoring other Underwriters
  • Highly skilled in Self Employment, Appraisal Review and Sign Off, Purchase Transactions, Complex Loans and Multi-packs
  • Time Management and Pipeline Management experience
  • Prior work streamlining processes to drive goal achievement 
  • Client-centric skills that meet staff and goals set forth by management

    Compensation Range: $95,000-$105,000
