We are looking for a Tax Director to further strengthen our Finance team. This role will provide broad financial direction and oversight as part of the leadership team and will drive execution for the Finance and Tax team. This is a new role for hear.com which is needed to support the rapid growth of hear.com. The role is based in either our Miami, Denver, Berlin (Germany), or Remote office and reports to the company’s global CFO.

Main tasks: 

• Responsible for all Group tax and corporate tax matters
• Implementation of Tax processes and monitoring of the internal tax compliance system
• Manage tax audits on a global scale and support related risk management and risk reporting obligations of the group
• Identification and realization of tax optimization potentials
• Manage/supervise corporate and indirect Tax filing and tax compliance in all countries including Transfer Price documentation
• Focal point for all tax advisors

Your profile:

• Completed legal education plus additional qualification in tax law as certified tax advisor (m/f/d), certified tax lawyer (m/f/d) or similar degree
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in tax, preferable in a Big4 tax consulting environment
• Excellent knowledge about tax law and regulations and a high degree of understanding of international tax rules
• Team player with profound negotiation skills and problem-solving attitude and ability to adjust and succeed in different cultures
• Very good communication and messaging skills with the ability to build long term partnerships with internal management and staff
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); German is a plus
• Knowledge of Accounting and Controlling issues related to Tax activities, especially IAS 12
