Zoom is looking for an experienced business and strategy manager to join the Corporate Strategy team. In this important role, you will be expected to create and contribute to important elements of Zoom's go forward strategy and plans. This role will be focused on impactful market, customer and opportunity analysis and development of strategic growth plays. This role requires strengths in strategic thinking, business leadership, analytical & problem-solving skills, cross group collaboration and executive communication skills. Collect, analyze, and synthesize data to build an empirical view of market including market size and growth, revenue opportunity and profit pools, value chain analysis, and ecosystem participants.
Conduct primary and secondary research including end user, customer/buyer and partner/channel interviews and surveys, to analyze and answer questions related to unmet needs, new product adoption, buying patterns and channel dynamics.
Conduct interviews with industry and academic experts to answer questions related to long term trends in collaboration and communication.
Analyze competitor products, services and market position and formulate optimal strategies to build sustainable growth plays around product and channel.
Develop insights to inform strategic decisions for new market entry, growth strategy, commercial partnerships, and inorganic opportunities.
Deliver opportunity maps, plans, projections and plays for cross company investment decisions.
5+ years of work experience within or across strategy consulting, product management, corporate strategy, finance or corporate development.
Undergraduate degree in engineering, math, business, economics. MBA strongly preferred.
Exceptional business judgement using strong strategic thinking, customer centricity and appreciation for execution / operational excellence.
Strong numerical fluency, analytical problem-solving skills, and the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to identify insights and drive high impact decisions.
Demonstrated ability and prior experience in using customer, market, and competitive data to create business strategy and connect it with investment initiatives across product and go to market.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence at senior levels without authority to drive executive buy-in and alignment.
