About the Position:
Reporting to the Controller, the Staff Accountant will be a highly visible member of a small, nimble finance team responsible for all handling all general ledger accounting, departmental budgets, contractor payroll, accounts payable, and daily bank deposits. The successful candidate will build and maintain strong relationships within the finance team, department heads, and software development team.
Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Processing bi-monthly contractor payroll, including reviewing submissions, payment processing, and journal entries
- Analyzing and reviewing departmental budgets and expenditures
- Reviewing monthly Expensify reports for correct G/L coding and initiating reimbursement
- Completing all monthly credit card and bank reconciliations
- Monitoring and reconciling the integration between Quickbooks and Inflow, our custom ordering and billing system
- Maintaining supplemental accounting schedules and reports
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly executive financial review presentations
- Depositing and reconciling daily cash receipts
- Accounts Payable entry, including vendor setup
- Reviewing corporate contracts and ensuring proper setup in Inflow revenue system
- Acting as the senior member of the team, taking the lead on department projects and initiatives, including system architecture and design projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a Staff Accountant role (or similar)
- Proficiency in MS Excel (Intermediate to Advanced) and other MS Office programs
- Quickbooks experience strongly desired
- Expensify experience desired, but not required

- Tech savvy, with a proven ability to absorb, master and leverage internal systems and technologies and speak the language with our CTO
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
- Superior organizational and time management skills, attention to detail

- Base salary $55 - $65k, DOE
