Overview of position:
In this new role for a Staff Accountant with the accounting department, you will work closely with our Controller and take ownership of all the staff accounting responsibilities. Your work and efforts with the team will make an immediate impact.
What you will do:
- Prepare account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare detail reports for P&L accounts that tie to GL using filters, vlookups, pivot tables, charts, etc.
- Amortize and book JE's for fixed assets, ST & LT liabilities, prepaids, etc.
- Help with accounts payable, accounts receivable and collections.
- Maintain all fixed assets and depreciation records.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries needed to close books.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to subsidiary ledger.
- Assist in the setup of processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue, including deferred revenue.
Skills and experience that are important for the role:
- BS degree in Accounting
- 3+ years accounting experience
- Proven ability to meet month end and reconciliation deadlines.
- Solid experience and skill with various business systems: Quickbooks, SalesForce, Concur.
- Proficiency Excel, and Word.
- Motivated, positive, team player.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to problem solve in a growing, expanding agile environment
- Complete special accounting projects assigned (internal audits, historical analysis of benefits and other accounts, etc.).
- Demonstrate working knowledge of financial statements.

This position is located in our corporate headquarters and learning center in Boulder, CO.
