About the Role

OrthoFi is building a world-class team that is committed to wowing customers at every opportunity. We are seeking an energetic, self-motivated staff accountant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be experienced in many facets of financial and operational accounting. This role reports to the Controller.

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and treasury management process.

  • Preparing month end close schedules and journal entries, including accrued liabilities, fixed assets, cash reconciliations.

  • Fixed asset tracking and management.

  • Preparing schedules for outside auditors and tax preparers.

  • Review payable transactions

  • Documentation of accounting policies and procedures, assist with implementation and adoption of internal controls and safeguards.

  • Other projects as needed.

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Strong accounting knowledge.

  • Drive to investigate and address exceptions.

  • Ability to work independently and self-manage.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Must be self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented.

  • Experience at start-up organization, building accounting process foundation.

  • Knowledge accrual-basis accounting work.

  • Experience preparing audit schedules.

 

Qualifications

  • Prefer candidates with a Degree in Accounting or related field

  • 3-4 years accounting, preferably 1 year of public accounting

  • QuickBooks Desktop Premier experience
