The Role:

As the Staff Accountant, you will play an integral role by supporting TraceGains’ general accounting initiatives by performing monthly account reconciliations, submitting and distributing monthly reports, reviewing and entering invoices, and creating and maintaining journals, ledgers, and other records. You will utilize your knowledge of accounting principles to take an initiative and expand your skills in all aspects of accounting. What you’ll do:

  • Prepare month end journal entries
  • Prepare daily and monthly reconciliations as needed
  • Support entries to general ledger accounts
  • Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activity
  • Manage vendor and customer accounting inquiries
  • Process (Type-1099) forms for vendors
  • Verify accuracy of invoices and other accounting records
  • Enter data into NetSuite ERP system
  • Provide accounting support for special projects and ad-hoc reporting and analysis as necessary
  • File and organize all documents

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting
  • 0-3 years of experience in G/L, AP, AR, and accrual-based accounting
  • Experience working with NetSuite or another ERP system a plus
  • Knowledge and understanding of GAAP and accrual basis of accounting
  • General accounting experience preferred
  • Proficient computer application skills to include Microsoft Excel, word, and database management
  • Self-starter comfortable working and taking initiative in a fast-growing company
  • Innovative problem-solving skills
  • Flexible mindset and ability to change priority as needed
  • Bright, team oriented attitude with the ability to focus on individual priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Exceptional organizational skills
