Sr. Revenue Accountant

RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with Sales, Legal, Sales Operations, and broader Deals Management team on non-standard contract review and special terms on the order form to determine revenue impact and provide solutions to optimize the revenue recognition accounting process and comply with Company’s revenue recognition policy
Research, evaluate, and prepare technical revenue accounting memos, revenue accounting checklist, revenue impact analysis and assessment on non-standard transactions, product offerings/programs, audit related PBCs
Perform monthly deal review on significant revenue arrangements to ensure accurate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606, including material right assessment, contract modification assessment, SSP assessment, etc.
Perform month-end close tasks such as major customer review, journal entries around special non-standard contract terms, perform flux analyses for major customers and related reporting and disclosures
Assist with internal and external audit requests; contribute to a SOX compliant environment
Lead and assist with other special projects, including process improvement initiatives, NPI (New Product Initiatives) assessment, system implementation, revenue assurance review, tech rev library maintenance, and others
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Big 4 experience and CPA highly desired
5+ years of progressive experience in general and revenue accounting, experience with high tech industry in the revenue recognition area required
Excellent knowledge of revenue accounting pronouncements
Experienced in writing complex technical accounting position papers
High proficiency with MS Office Suite
Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and execute in a fast paced environment with attention to details
Willingness to take on new challenges
Team player and effective communicator with all levels of management and cross functional organizations.
Experience with Salesforce, Zuora, NetSuite, Snowflake or other leading O2C/ERP business applications preferred
