Responsibilities & Requirements
As our Senior Manager, Revenue Strategy & Planning, you'll collaborate with department leaders from Sales, Marketing, Enablement, and Solutions Architecture to facilitate the roll-out and enhancement of our Revenue planning cycle. You will work with our team to build and own our forecasting methodologies that have a high level of precision on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. You will help drive our quarterly and annual planning cycles, helping us set targets, defining prioritized objectives to achieve those targets, then implementing them across the team. You will provide us with new insights about our business that will make us smarter about how and where to scale the revenue engine. You will partner with the broader organization on planning and execution. Successful candidates have strong analytical, management, and organization skills and enjoy working in an innovative, high-growth environment.
Prefer candidates to be location to the Washington, DC or Austin, TX office, but will consider fully remote for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Fully immerse yourself in the revenue planning process to influence organizational behavior, drive forward-looking strategy, and identify operational gaps or areas of improvement
- Collaborate with Revenue Leadership to drive total addressable market analysis and derive achievable targets for the organization
- Collaborate with stakeholders across organization to execute on our revenue planning cycle, inclusive of quota setting, market segmentation, territory design, compensation strategy, and headcount planning
- Balance high-level strategic view with deep-dive analysis for sales and marketing forecasting, pipeline, and performance
- Analyze and communicate critical business insights, trends resulting from strategic changes made during our planning process, and actionable recommendations to senior leadership teams
- Collaborate on annual financial planning process through cross-functional collaboration that results in team quotas and quarterly and annual revenue forecasts
- Lead multiple work streams with ease by successfully and thoughtfully putting together project plans and managing to deadlines
Qualifications:
- A. or B.S. degree at a four year accredited program
- 5+ years of sales operations, strategy, business operations or corporate development experience in a high-tech growth environment, and/or operational experience in investment banking or management consulting
- Experience specifically leading Revenue Planning and Strategy
- Demonstrated experience working with sales forecasting, territory planning, quota setting and/or compensation design
- SaaS experience preferred
- Analytical mentality, with the ability to focus on a problem, ask insightful questions, reject presuppositions, and learn new concepts quickly
- Ability to analyze data at the detailed level, and roll up findings and implications for executive management, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel format
- A strong bias for action, strategic planning skills, quantitative analysis, and the ability to coordinate and deliver new initiatives is essential
- Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships with stakeholders, effect change and a track record of successful delivery through excellent group collaboration skills
- Strong knowledge of sales systems and tools (Salesforce.com, Tableau, etc.)
- Highly proficient in Excel and strong SQL skills
