Sr Accountant - Financial Reporting
Play a key role in the Company's Financial Reporting function, including preparation of Financial Statements and related accounting functions.Principle duties and responsibilities:Financial Reporting:
- Participate in the preparation of monthly internal financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Assist with the preparation of the annual audited financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Participate in the preparation of the quarterly and annual reporting packages in accordance with IFRS
- Preparation and submission of surveys and other ad hoc reporting
- Perform technical accounting research including coordination and consultation with external advisors as needed
Debt:
- Process debt payments, interest accruals and monthly reconciliations
- Carry out various debt compliance tasks
Equity:
- Maintain equity awards in equity management software
- Prepare equity account reconciliations
- Assist with year end equity reporting
Other:
- Record intangible assets & goodwill entries and prepare reconciliations
- Maintain secondary ledgers in Oracle (IFRS and Statutory)
- Provide support as needed for interim and year end audits
- Continuously review processes for ongoing improvement
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Knowledge and experience with US GAAP (IFRS knowledge and experience a plus)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Accounting/ERP systems and financial reporting tools (Oracle and Smartview a plus)
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with department staff, supervisory personnel, associates, vendors and consultants
Required Qualifications/experience:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
Estimated Salary range for this position: $69,300 - $96,600The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of GHX's total compensation package for employees.
