Senior Manager of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting
The Senior Manager of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting will be responsible for managing the external reporting process, including the 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K process for the Company, as well as stock-based compensation, equity, and cash flow statements. In addition, this role will be key in further developing and maintaining the required public company accounting and reporting infrastructure, including the drafting of technical accounting memos.
What You'll Do
Preparation and review of the Form 10-K, 10-Q, and financial information related to the quarterly earnings releases to ensure timely filings.
Collaborates on the preparation of other SEC and statutory filings (e.g., 8-K, S-3, S-8, Proxy).
Serves as a subject matter expert on US GAAP and SEC regulations for the preparation and filing of SEC reports.
Prepares and/or coordinates detailed work papers to support disclosures included in financial statements and SEC Filings (e.g., footnotes, MD&A, business overview updates).
Coordinates, collects, and manages all feedback from management, attorneys, external auditors, audits committee to ensure timely SEC filings.
Responsible for stock compensation and equity accounting, including stock-based compensation expense calculation and the assumption evaluation and assists with forecasting future stock-based compensation expense.
Reviews the statement of cash flows, statement of stockholders' equity, and basic and diluted EPS.
Researches authoritative literature and provides technical accounting guidance on complex transactions such as acquisitions, legal transactions, impairment, investments, including other non-routine complex business transactions.
Assesses and implements new or changes to US GAAP accounting standards and technical issues; analyzes their relevance for and impact to the company.
Key participant in the financial close process; produces work papers and PBC’s within assigned timeframes.
Establishes, maintains, and ensures compliance with all Sarbanes-Oxley (“SOX”) documentation and requirements.
Ensures compliance with US GAAP.
What You'll Need
Education
Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
CPA preferred
Experience
5+ years of progressive experience in both public and industry accounting.
Working knowledge and experience with XBRL and filing with the SEC.
Excellent understanding of current US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.
Experience with Workiva and Shareworks preferred
SaaS/Software industry experience preferred
Skills
Ability to research and propose resolutions on complex accounting issues.
Highly detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and proactive. Must have a strong work ethic and be able to meet critical deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to research and interpret accounting guidance and draft accounting memos to support conclusions.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact and build relationships across all levels of the organization.

How You'll Be Rewarded
Base Pay Range in Colorado: $137,000 - $183,000
A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
