The Granicus Accounting team is a dynamic and high performing group that partners with both internal and external customers to drive success for the Company. We are looking for a motivated and effective leader to head up our operational accounting team, which includes AR/billing, AP, credit cards and expense reimbursements. The ideal candidate would be resourceful, flexible with requests, enjoys solving problems and is effective at managing relationships and communicating. This position can be based in St. Paul, MN, Denver, CO, Washington, D.C. or Remote in the US or Canada.

Essential Functions:

· Manage key operational accounting functions of the Company, including AR/billing, AP, expense reimbursement and credit cards

· Evaluate existing policies, processes and controls to identify areas for improvement, and ensure effective application

· Manage the operational accounting team (team of 5-7)

· Drive customer satisfactions through effective communication with customers and vendors regarding AR and AP

· Supervise month-end close process for areas of operational accounting by adhering to close timeline

· Review related account reconciliations

· Implement a globally uniform system and related processes to integrate the acquired companies and ensure scalability for future growth

· Proactively monitor AR and AP metrics and understand trends and present for management review

· Supervise and monitor the performance of the offshore company that supports certain operational activities

· Lead AR/billing, AP, expense reimbursement and credit cards process integration and streamlining for acquired companies

· Provide post accounting integration support to the acquired company team members

· Support year-end audit requests and auditor questions

· Assist the team with large one-off projects

Qualifications:

· You have 6 - 9 years of related experience in AR/billing, AP, credit cards and expense reimbursements

· You have a BA/BS in Accounting or a related field

· You have experience in leading a team

· You communicate well with team members and customers

· You have intermediate MS Office skills, experience with NetSuite is a plus

· You are detail-oriented, with exceptional problem-solving skills

· You enjoy mentoring team members

· You have effective project management skills, including challenging the status quo and identifying needs to re-assess existing approaches/processes

· You are adaptable and enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment

· You demonstrate an ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy
