Marketo has an amazing opportunity for a Senior Manager, Finance Operations to join our fast-growing software company. This position will report to our VP Finance, Corporate Controller who will invest time in the Senior Manager, Finance Operations' professional growth and development. The Senior Manager, Finance Operations will lead systems and process simplification and streamlining across the finance organization. Your team is directly engaged in ensuring proper systems implementation and maintenance, and will direct process improvement across the finance organization. Additionally, this position interacts with IT department in ensuring all finance systems are delivering value to the entire finance organization. We are seeking a candidate who can elevate the team to improve process, proactively identify controllership risk and optimize our systems environment to ensure game changing data and analysis is available to finance and company leadership. Finally, candidates must be prepared to work in a fun, fast-paced, and dynamic environment.

This position will reside in our newly opened and freshly remodeled downtown Denver office, with a "Silicon Valley" atmosphere where the business is creating a Global Center of Excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Ensure finance systems are implemented and optimized to deliver value to the Company
• Identify and implement process improvements across the finance organization to drive simplification and allow improved data availability and reporting to executive management
• Supervise a team of 2 finance operations analysts to oversee management of all finance systems across the Company
• Develop training documents and provide end-user training and support for finance systems
• Partner with IT department in ensuring all finance systems are delivering value
• Provide project management for finance related system implementations and upgrades
• Direct finance and accounting related integration activities resulting from mergers and acquisitions

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: 

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; preferred major in Accounting, Finance or Information Technology
• 8+ years of relevant experience in Business Consulting, Accounting, Finance or Information Technology
• Preferred certifications such as MBA or CPA (or equivalent)
• Preferred 2+ years' experience in Big 4 public accounting, or involvement in business consulting roles at companies such as Bain, McKinsey, Accenture, or participate in major management programs such Corporate Audit Staff at General Electric
• Understanding of accounting and finance processes, including but not limited to Quote-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay and Record-to-Report
• Experience with documentation and improvement of finance processes
• Hands-on implementation or end user experience with finance systems such as Intacct, Coupa, Adaptive Insights, Avalara, and Concur
• Experience working on Agile projects defining business requirements, tracking and resolving issues, conducting user acceptance testing and delivering training and support
• 2+ years' experience as a manager over a team in a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• SaaS industry experience a plus
