We are seeking a Financial Analyst/Senior Financial Analyst (SFA). He / She will report to the VP of Finance and help with all aspects of financial forecasting, reporting, analysis, and basic monthly accounting entries.  The analyst must have an extensive background with excel and financial modeling – and strong initiative to assist in driving key reporting across the organization. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain Elsmere Education budget and forecast
  • Assist with client level detailed revenue budget and forecast by program
  • Build new financial models for programs and clients
  • Assist with preparation of annual operating budget and semester reforecasts 
  • Improve and maintain the Five-Year Plan
  • Perform ad hoc scenario modeling and what-if analysis
  • Own monthly A/R and A/P processing
  • Department actuals vs. budget and variance analysis
  • Accurate coding of expenses in accounting system
  • Work with outside accounting firm on necessary GAAP adjustments
  • Maintain accurate program level marketing budgets
  • Work with account management team to provide semester KPI “score card” reports

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of FP&A and/or Operations Finance experience working in service-based companies
  • Advanced Excel technical capabilities, love of spreadsheets (can perform and maintain complex functions) and financial modeling
  • BA or BS in Finance or Accounting
  • Self -starter, ability to thrive and be highly effective in a fast-paced and fluid environment
  • High level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize demands to meet deadlines
  • High level of maturity to handle sensitive financial information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with Xero accounting system a plus
  • High-energy, good reader and writer, entrepreneurial, talented, easily bored, competitive

Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000
