The Position

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis squad and to help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.

What you get to do:

• Build and maintain complex models in order to analyze, forecast, report and track financial and operational metrics.
• Establish business partner relationships to promote collaboration and engagement with the forecast process.
• Support accounting with the close process to ensure accurate monthly financial reporting and variance explanations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial and operational reviews for executive leadership.
• Continually strive to improve productivity and efficiency through process and financial model improvements.
• Provide strategic insights and conclusions by assessing options in relation to organizational goals.
• Support senior leadership through ad-hoc analysis, business decision support, and M&A related activities.

What you bring to Uplight:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, etc.
• 3-7 years professional experience in quantitative analysis (finance, accounting, financial consulting, investment banking, etc.) or equivalent mix of an advanced degree, certification and work experience in relevant field
• Advanced Excel experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with presenting and interacting with company executives and/or private equity/venture capital owners
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Ability to validate results through reconciling data from other sources

Bonus Points:

• Experience in software, Saas or technology
• CPA, CFA, MBA, or other designation
• NetSuite or other ERP experience
• NetSuite, PBCS or other cloud-based forecasting system experience
