Senior Financial Analyst
We're looking for you--an experienced, detail-oriented candidate passionate about financial modeling--to join our team as Senior Financial Analyst!
In this role, you'll be responsible for financial reporting and analysis, with specific focus on producing an on-going budget, monthly reporting packages, future investment opportunities as well as additional modeling needed and used by the Executive team to monitor financial performance. In addition, this person will be responsible for data management and consolidating information from multiple sources for further analysis. The ideal individual for this position will be extremely organized, possess good quantitative skills, and be technically savvy with comprehensive database knowledge. This position reports to VP of Finance & Accounting and will be a keystone in the development of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function within the organization. As Financial Analyst, you will:
- Assist in and eventually lead the annual budget and forecasting process
- Develop and manage models related to monthly financials, scenario analysis and ad hoc analysis as needed.
- Develop and maintain financial projections that are consistent with organizational goals
- Track, analyze and report on key financial and operating metrics for the company on a regular basis
- Partner with the data team and other departments to provide operational financial analysis and reporting
- Prepare financial models to assist with strategic decisions, including profitability, future growth, and investments
- Drive process improvements and system implementation within the finance function to support and automate the FP&A function
- Partner with the company’s accounting team with month-end close reporting with respect to the close package and the accuracy and completeness of the financial results
- Understand, analyze, and report on key variances between actuals and plan
- Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
To be successful in this role, you possess:
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment; a track record of success in prioritizing, multi-tasking, and consistently meeting deadlines with a high quality of work
- 5+ years work experience in finance with a fundamental understanding of GAAP
- Experience with advanced analysis tools and modeling techniques
- Unquestionably strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent financial modeling skills and a high-level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access and MySQL
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization
- Team player and ability to work independently
- BS/BA in finance, accounting, economics or equivalent
Ideally, you also possess:
- Experience using Adaptive Insights
- Ability to work well under pressure and to prioritize multiple projects
- High ownership of your work product
