What you'll do

As the Sr. Commissions Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting revenue operations in close collaboration with the sales and marketing organizations as an essential member of the Sales Operations team.

 

You will be responsible for administering compensation plans and calculating monthly commission payouts as well as providing analytical assessments across multiple areas of rep performance. You  will work closely with sales operations leadership to drive continuous process improvement for incentive compensation through process simplification and efficient use of purpose-built software solutions.

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual calculation, validation and payment of incentive compensation plan components and bonus commissions 
  • Partner with Sales and Finance Leaders to administer compensation plans 
  • Review, assess, and process territory alignment changes through partnerships with sales leadership 
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization 
  • Collaborate with the Sales Finance team in multiple facets and support needs during the planning and close processes, particularly relating to Commission Expense 
  • Assist both Finance and Sales management teams with ad hoc analysis on sales rep performance and other sales information
  • Design and execute  data-driven analysis of performance metrics to align with and achieve company goals
  • Determine the optimal and most efficient way to evaluate the potential impact of changes to compensation plans, product pricing, discount allowances, special incentives, and other financial metrics which have a direct impact on bookings and revenue

What you'll bring to the team

 

  • 5+ years of experience in finance, compensation and/or sales operations environments
  • Demonstrated ability working with confidential information in a deadline driven culture 
  • Ability  to develop elegant, concise, and repeatable financial models and to present findings cogently and comprehensively to various audiences, including senior leadership
  • Ability to communicate effectively to understand business needs, request and interpret financial information, and recommend tactical actions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Inquisitive and analytical with the ability to solicit and evaluate information from various systems, including data from financial systems, Salesforce, Clari, Clarizen and other platforms used to calculate commissions and support the sales process.
  • Expert level Excel capabilities, including advanced use of pivot tables and formulas
  • Experience or exposure to Xactly, ideally Simplycomp
  • Experience using Salesforce, particularly report generation
  • SQL experience a plus

Location

Our Denver office is located just east of downtown, several miles from Denver Intl Airport. Our Boulder office is on Arapahoe Ave by Boulder Creek.
