Position Summary:

The Senior GL Accountant is responsible for assisting with various aspects of full cycle accounting.

Essential Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):                                           Percentage of Time Spent:
1. Assisting with month-end close for US and International subsidiaries of Pax8, including:  35%

a. Performing monthly analytics
b. Posting adjusting and consolidation entries
c. Remotely coordinating month-end close process with international subs
d. Assisting with payroll 

2. Assisting with sales tax reporting, including:

a. Managing sales tax exemption certificates
b. Performing sales tax reconciliation between Avalara and Pax8 internal billing system
c. Managing sales tax reports filed with local tax authorities                                          35%

3. Ad hoc projects as necessary                                                                                               30%

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

• At least three (3) years of progressive experience with full cycle accounting
• Advanced Excel experience required
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with high volume transaction processing
• Experience with NetSuite or comparable accounting software
• Ability to be highly organized and productive
• Ability to proactively solve problems using critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated acute attention to detail
• Ability to be self-motivated and independent

Required Education & Certifications:

• B.S./B.A. degree in Accounting, or equivalent work experience

Work Environment:

Professional office environment.  Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, printers, and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands:

Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  Must frequently lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Infrequent travel is expected

Compensation:

Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $72,000 or more depending on experience #LI-HK1
