Pax8 is looking for a Senior Accountant with a great work ethic to join our growing finance team. This is not your typical stoic accounting environment doing the same repetitive tasks every day. The perfect individual enjoys the challenges that come with a startup, and wants to make a difference and grow with the company. This position will focus on calculating sales commissions, assist with revenue calculation and recognition, and help scale the finance team though process improvement and automation.

Essential Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):

• Monthly commission calculation for Pax8's quickly growing sales team, including: Collectability analysis, communicating with Finance and Sales management about monthly findings, communicating with sales representatives about monthly earnings and assisting with questions related to compensation, and assisting with new commissions models and processes
• Assist with monthly revenue calculation, including billing analysis and reconciliation
• Assisting with process improvements and system automations.
• Ad hoc projects as necessary

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

• 3-6 years of progressive accounting/finance/operations experience
• Advanced Excel experience required (complex pivot tables and advanced formulas to analyze large sets of data, Macro/VBA experience a plus)
• SQL experience a plus
• Salesforce experience a plus
• Wrike or project management software experience a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with high volume transaction processing
• Experience with NetSuite or comparable accounting software
• Ability to be highly organized and productive
• Ability to proactively solve problems using critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated acute attention to detail
• Ability to be self-motivated and independent

Required Education & Certifications:

• B.S./B.A. degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent work experience
• Current license as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus, but not required
