General accounting and month end accounting close duties. Analyze and research company operations and outstanding liabilities to create month end accruals. Prepare and enter journal entries into our SAP accounting system. Prepare account reconciliations using Blackline compliance. Support the consolidations team.

Responsibilities

• General accounting and month end accounting close duties
• Understand the operations of the companies, accounts, and other duties assigned to this Accountant
  • Analyze and research company operations and outstanding liabilities to create month end accruals
  • Obtain support from various stakeholders including Payroll, Stock based compensation, Intercompany, Accounts payable, Treasury, Technical accounting, FP&A, etc.
  • Prepare and enter journal entries into our SAP accounting system
  • Prepare account reconciliations using Blackline
  • Effective operation of controls
  • Fulfill other close requirements, as requested
• Partner with other locations to research and reconcile Intercompany transactions
• Provide analysis of operating results and financial position
• Create and maintain desk procedures for all processes
• Collaborate with other departments for ongoing process improvement efforts
• Work with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
• Support the consolidations team
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-oriented environment
• Excellent organizational, time management, and written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of SAP or BPC is a plus.  Experience with other large accounting systems a plus.
• CPA is a plus

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• 5-7 years of relevant work experience
• Excellent Word and Excel skills
