Job Summary

As NetApp continues to transform its business, it is making investments in S&OP to help it become more agile, focused, and disciplined in its operations planning processes. As a member of NetApp’s Sales & Operations Planning team, you’ll be helping NetApp plan its quarter by quarter achievement of product revenue and market share growth objectives to help pivot the business to strategic growth areas in flash storage, converged and hyperconverged infrastructure, and Cloud markets.
As a NetApp S&OP Planner, you will manage the monthly S&OP processes and planning activities, including consolidation/analysis of different forecast inputs by product segment or geography, demand and supply balancing, and meeting facilitation. You’ll work closely with Sales, Product Management, Pricing, Supply Chain and Finance to connect the dots and drive actionable outcomes to our end-to-end Sales and Operation Planning Process. You will highlight and drive business issues and risks to resolution; maintain analytical models, and execute on S&OP related continuous improvement initiatives.

 

Essential Duties:
This role requires exceptional cross-functional collaboration, outstanding communication skills and a broad understanding of functions involved in the S&OP process.
• Analyze and report impacts of forecast product volume/ mix on key operational drivers such as strategic spend, cost reduction and gross margin forecasts
• Conduct ‘what if’ scenario planning to simulate impacts of differing market share growth assumptions, NPI product launches, and large deals on decision making for strategic commodity spend and associated supply chain impacts
• Create crisp executive summary presentations that drive actionable outcomes in S&OP meetings

• Design new analytical models and reports to drive business decisions and improve planning capabilities

• Maintain S&OP KPI’s and conduct ad-hoc analysis to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities to improve S&OP plans.
• Lead root cause identification and continuous improvement efforts in the S&OP planning process.

• Leverage tools and systems for report automation

Job Requirements

Demonstrated mastery of financial analysis, forecasting, and statistical analysis
• Working knowledge of manufacturing accounting practices
• Exceptional verbal and written communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization. Comfortable making executive presentations
• Works effectively both independently and as a cross-functional team member
• Flexibility in a rapidly changing environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Expert in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Tableau, experience with Oracle eBI reporting a plus

Education

• BA or BS degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or Operations; MBA preferred

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Operations, Product Management, Sales Operations, Finance or Supply Chain Planning; S&OP experience strongly preferred
