Based in Denver and reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, the Revenue Accountant will join Convercent at a critical point in the Company's growth trajectory. The Revenue Accountant will assist in the revenue process from beginning to end. This position has a great growth opportunity, too!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret existing customer contracts.
  • Partner with the sales and legal departments to review and properly structure new customer contracts, including technical memos related to revenue recognition, as needed.
  • Manage monthly recurring SaaS and non-recurring revenue invoicing process.
  • Manage accounts receivable aging, communicate with customers on collections, and apply customer remittances.
  • Manage monthly revenue recognition process and related journal entries.
  • Assist the Accounting Manager with the implementation of ASC 606, including creating new revenue recognition policies as needed.
  • Work with outside advisors to prepare periodic compliance reports, including sales and use tax returns.
  • Complete other projects as necessary.

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Degree in accounting or business administration.
  • Experience with NetSuite.
  • SaaS revenue recognition experience, ASC 606 implementation experience a plus.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Passion for using software applications to improve job efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Self-directed, resourceful, with an agile mind.
  • Passionate about meeting deadlines.
