About the team
Angi is looking for a Payroll Manager who will lead the function within our growing team. You will be accountable for all aspects of the payroll process from time tracking to processing to reporting. The ideal candidate can work independently and collaboratively with a team to run all things payroll at a fast-growing, dynamic company. What you’ll do
Be a great leader to the payroll team and help drive the team’s professional development. You will get to collaborate with the HR, HRIS, HRIT and accounting teams on cross-departmental projects, and be responsive to inquiries and requests of the business.
- Manage a team of three Payroll Specialists in all aspects of payroll processing including: bi-weekly payment cycles, off-cycle commissions, stock based compensation, daily manual checks, and W2 reporting and filings
- Manage the registration of new company locations
- Register with states for payroll taxes (withholding/unemployment)
- Work with UKG to enter the new locations within the payroll system
- Partner with the HRIS team to create procedures and policies
- Partner with HRIS when new department or earning codes are needed
- Maintain the system with HRIS to ensure deductions and year end reporting is accurate
- Maintain audit ready reviews of all payroll cycles and reconciliations
- Review of each payroll cycle with proper back-up and documentation
- Review of payroll related balance sheet accounts monthly
- Review of payroll Journal Entries uploaded to the ERP system (NetSuite) with
in a few days of each cycle
- Coach, mentor and develop current payroll staff
- Development of team members to be able to take on any role within the
department - Mentoring team to help them understand how their role impacts not only the
employees but the company as a whole

- Liaison for internal and external customers
- Help with payroll related questions
- Develop a relationship with the commissions team to help streamline that
process - Work with internal and external auditors
- Track and assist with regulatory compliance
- Maintain, create and enforce companies’ policies and procedures
Who you are
- You have 5 years of relevant experience; ideally a combination of payroll and accounting
- You have 5 years of supervisory experience
- You have accounting knowledge and basic understanding of US GAAP
- Advanced skills in Excel and knowledge of NetSuite and UltiPro (UKG)
- CPP license is a plus

Compensation & Benefits
- The salary band for this position ranges from $80,00 - $100,000 based on experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as cost of living.
