Position Summary
SRS Acquiom (SRSA) is currently seeking a Payroll & Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team, reporting directly to our Controller. Focus on a range of general staff accounting tasks and activities for the payroll and accounting functions at company. The role performs a variety of duties directly related to payroll and accounting, as well as assisting with special projects as assigned.
Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare and complete multi-state bi-monthly payroll processing through UltiPro (Ultimate Software).
  • Review payroll reports and timesheet for correctness before processing payroll.
  • Payroll & Accounting Specialist must verify all payroll entries including deductions, earnings and changes, review and reconcile payroll data and revolving any discrepancies as necessary.
  • Verify tax calculations and filing activities as per IRS regulations are completed by our payroll provider.
  • Process garnishments and other payroll deductions.
  • Enter payroll into general ledger and review quarterly payroll tax filings.
  • Review all payroll tax depositions.
  • Enter AP invoices into NetSuite and code to appropriate GL account.
  • Follow up and document all problematic invoices as needed.
  • Complete weekly AP run and assist with AR.
  • Reconcile bank accounts.
  • Time card review, reconciliations and respond to all payroll inquiries both from internal teammates to external VOEs.
  • Assist with new hires, terms, payroll changes/benefits changes.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

 

  • 2+ years multi-state payroll experience
  • Ultipro (Ultimate Software) experience preferred/a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships across the organization with a positive attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, self-starter with ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and strictest of confidentiality
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience or a combination of both
