Payment Operations Specialist
The Payment Operations Specialist responsibilities will be on reconcilements, daily operations support, Customer inquiries, transaction processing, and maintaining Customer files. This role helps support the Finance Department and Accounting teams to ensure a timely payment schedule.
Essential Job Functions
- Manage the ACH and Credit Card files generated by our customers throughout the day by reviewing customer’s processing history and reaching out to existing users to resolve ‘flagged’ items that exceed our audit standards
- Initiate the daily files for processing
- Have direct contact with our bank regarding any issues with the daily files or deposit discrepancies
- Underwrite customer’s information, including credit check’s, IRS Tax ID verification, importing customer data, and triple check information in internal systems vs. paperwork received from customers
- Process bank and email changes
- Add services to existing customer accounts such as the ability to process credit cards or change card types accepted
- Handle chargebacks using internal and external systems
- Develop and maintain relationships with our bank and be informed of changes to regulations or fees that Procare or our customers might incur
- Update internal systems with all activity/correspondence
- Interface with various departments to facilitate customer needs and requests

- Performs various clerical tasks associated with Payment Operations
- Processes / reconciles transactions related to product/functional area
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Knowledge of Payment Operations industry, systems, products, and services
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with customers and other employees
- Must be able to sit or stand for a prolonged period
- Position requires the ability to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, headset/microphone, and other office productivity machinery

Salary
$18-22/hour DOE
LOCATION
We have offices in Medford, OR; Rochester Hills, MI; Denver, CO; and Santa Clara and Sacramento, CA.
We are currently in a flexible hybrid in-office/remote working model based on local COVID-19 health regulations and business needs. While we are mainly working remotely now, this will eventually be an in-office position and candidates must be willing and able to (eventually) work from our downtown Denver or Medford office.
