We are looking for a Operations Billing Analyst (OBA) to help deliver delight to our clients through accurate billing setup and maintenance within our Client Services Teams.

We’re looking for people who get jazzed about doing mathy things. The candidate must be able to effectively analyze and prepare accurate billing reports for a variety of clients. The successful individual thrives in an innovative, fast-paced environment, can roll up their sleeves, work hard, have fun, and get the job done. The Gig:

  • Maintain accountability for inbound and outbound files as well as billing data loads
  • Maintain client billing setup and completion of the billing process schedule according to best practice
  • Complete all billing data loads, all billing process schedules and risk mitigation daily
  • Create invoices for clients to bill for services or products
  • Review invoices to ensure that clients are billed accurately and make retroactive adjustments as needed
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize data and trends to prepare accurate billing reports
  • Complete risk mitigation reporting to include audits, team activity and case manager reports
  • Communicate daily to alert team of issues or red flags with client data or files; reviewing warnings, errors and file failures during daily stand-up and identifying team members responsible for resolution
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Identify root cause of any systemic issues

What you need to make the cut:

  • Bachelor of Science required, preferably in Business, Finance, or related field of study
  • 2+ years’ experience with either HRIS, payroll, benefits, insurance, and/or carrier systems and processes; experience with technology, benefits, Human Resources, or health care is desired
  • Keep it together under the gun - you'll need to do high quality work and maintain your attention to detail under deadline
  • Expertise with Excel strongly preferred
  • A confident, positive self-starter who achieves high performance standards coupled with a willingness to perform a wide variety of tasks and projects
  • Curiosity for days! We are looking for great question-askers
  • Be consistent – yet innovative! Have the desire to understand, follow and improve processes – no manual process please!
  • A balanced checkbook
  • Last but not least, a sense of humor is a must. Interesting taste in music and/or deep knowledge of useless pop culture trivia is a plus (It also just makes you more fun to work with)
