Manager, Accounting - General Ledger
The Accounting Manager is responsible for all assigned areas of the general ledger including operating expenses, cash, fixed assets, leases, CIDS, accounts payable and all related processes. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining practices and procedures in accordance with GAAP to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the GL team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger review, account reconciliation review, developing and maintaining internal accounting controls and year-end audit preparation.Responsibilities
- Manages day-to day operations of the general ledger team.
- Manages various aspects of the general ledger including (but not limited to) operating expenses, accruals, cash, fixed assets, leases, CIDS and accounts payable ensuring the company financial records are kept in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Responsible for all general ledger activity in assigned areas, including but not limited to reviewing account reconciliations, knowledge of account balances, and documentation according to company policies.
- Development and implementation of new processes and procedures to enhance the workflow of the team
- Selects and hires employees as necessary. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff.
- Complete ad-hoc analysis and projects supporting the Assistant Controller and Controller as required
Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required
- CPA required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge and experience with US GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Strong work ethic with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a demanding detail-oriented environment
- Self motivated, efficient and proactive with ability to work under minimum supervision Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with department staff, supervisory personnel, associates, vendors and consultants
- Overtime required on short notice
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting
- Two or more years of leadership/management experience included
- Public accounting experience
- CPA Certified
Preferred Experience
- Technology industry experience
- Microsoft Dynamics Navision experience

Estimated Salary range for this position: $100,170-$122,430The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
