Income Tax Senior Analyst

Position Description
The Income Tax Senior Analyst will assist the Zayo Group with meeting all U.S. federal, U.S. state, and international tax compliance obligations as well as assist with the income tax provision reporting in the annual and quarterly financial statements.
Responsibilities
Prepare income tax work papers necessary for U.S. federal, U.S. state, and international compliance, quarterly estimates, and extensions, and execute related tax payments
Prepare work papers to support quarterly and year-end global income tax provision
Calculate state apportionment
Calculate tax depreciation
Maintain tax account, NOL, fixed asset, and similar roll forward schedules
Gather supporting data for and respond to various taxing authority notices and audits, and track all related communications
Coordinate with external tax advisors related to state and/or international income taxes
Perform tax research and analysis as required to ensure the company is in compliance with statutory and legal requirements
Other duties as they arise
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
4+ years of work experience in income taxation with accounting firm or large corporation
Solid understanding of corporate tax compliance, including US federal and state returns
Self-starter and ability to work independently
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
Excellent analytical, judgment and decision-making skills with the ability to adapt to change
High-energy individual with strong work ethic
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data manipulation programs
Preferred Qualifications
CPA license
Master’s degree in Taxation
Experience with state income tax
Experience with income tax provisions under ASC 740
Experience with international tax, or willingness to learn
Experience with tax provision, compliance, and depreciation software (e.g., OneSource, Corptax, SAGE, FMIS)
Competitive compensation: Base salary range: $80,100 - $106,800
