An Insider's view of AIR Communities

What’s the vibe like in the office?

The vibe in our on-site office is fun, yet chill. We don't have traditional offices, so we sit right out in the open to make it easier for future and current residents to find us. When not on tours or helping residents, we're usually collaborating on different strategies while listening to music.

Everence

Leasing Consultant

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

One of my favorite parts of my job is collaboration. In the Shared Service Center department, we collaborate with many of AIR’s other teams. For example, we work very closely with our community partners. This entails collaborating on shared documents, peer coaching, video calls and meetings, brainstorming, and multiple cross team processes.

Joseph

SSC Supervisor

How does the company support your career growth?

Air communities is always promoting individual and career growth whether that is offering trainings to improve technical skills or managers taking the time to explain a complicated process so that you better understand it. AIR is always looking to help individuals grow within their current position or another position they might be interested in.

Trentin

Accountant

How do you make yourself accessible to the rest of the team?

A leader’s role is to be a resource, and to be invested in her team’s success. As for accessibility, there’s no substitute for walking around, having an open door, and making time when someone wants to talk. I seek to know people outside of work and regularly schedule morning coffees with teammates across the organization to build relationships.

Lisa

President & General Counsel

What is your vision for the company?

Over the past 4 years I have had the opportunity to participate in Air communities’ innovative approach to luxury apartment living. I believe the company’s willingness to try new things -even if they don’t always work out -is something special. My vision for the company is that we continue to strive for excellence.
