About the team:

Robinhood is looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to join our team. We are looking for someone with strong reporting experience and solid technical accounting skills, who is a great collaborator, and is passionate about delivering quality results and driving continual improvement in a dynamic, high-growth environment. You will help to ensure accurate and timely filing of our financial statements and disclosures. The role will report to the Director, Technical Accounting and Reporting as an individual contributor. This position can be located in Menlo Park, CA or remote.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Responsible for the preparation and review of financial statements and disclosures for quarterly filings on Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, and periodic and annual financial statements for subsidiaries following U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements
  • Support other SEC filings including the annual proxy statements and Form 8-Ks
  • Review of XBRL exhibits for the Company’s SEC filings
  • Coordinate tie out and review of various quarterly investor presentations and earnings release documents
  • Review of monthly share-based compensation expense calculation (ASC 718)
  • Assist with technical research and documentation on disclosure related issues
  • Monitor, assess and implement new disclosure requirement applicable to the company
  • Develop and maintain effective SOX 404 internal controls
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders such as Legal, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Corporate Accounting to ensure completeness and accuracy of our financial statements disclosures
  • Support ad hoc financial reporting requests as needed
  • Be a proactive liaison with external auditors to drive timely closure of quarterly reviews and annual audits
  • Provide coaching and mentorship of junior staff members

Some things we consider critical for this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in a financial reporting role in a public company
  • Combination of private industry and public accounting experience; Big 4 experience preferred
  • Familiarity with and interpreting SEC Reg. S-X, S-K rules, and ASC 718
  • Familiar with working with Workiva
  • Active CPA or equivalent license
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working with Oracle Cloud
  • Experience at a fintech company, high-growth startup, or broker dealer industry
