Better requires process, discipline, and simplification

We’ll be looking to you to be a key member of the team by investigating the highest risk Agents and consumers and other complex cases related to suspicious activities on money laundering and other risks related to Western Union. It will be your responsibility to review escalations and formulate a report on these. You will use various comprehensive investigative methods and independent decision-making to determine if the activity is suspicious and write concise Suspicious Activity Reports that will be sent to the governments in multiple jurisdictions.

You will be expected to manage a wide range of public-source research techniques and create detailed narrative investigative reports, presentations and, where needed, link charts or similar diagrams to record investigative actions, findings, and analysis. You will deal with ad hoc queries related to AML compliance issues that have been escalated as potentially suspicious transactions.

For such a pivotal role, we require you to have experience in Anti Money Laundering, Risk, or general Compliance from a financial service or payments background. The complexity of the data means you will need to be analytically minded, be a good problem solver, and have an investigative mindset. You possess advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Access) including the use of pivot tables, also excellent written and communication skills. You will also have the ability to construct positive relationships with internal and external partners.

The annual gross base salary range is $ 62,829.23 - 103,871.34.

This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.
