Financial Analyst
Inspirato, a fast paced, private equity-backed, luxury vacation company, seeks a dynamic, self-motivated and highly-organized finance professional. This position will be a key member of the Finance & Accounting team and will provide hands-on support in developing and maintaining the business’s main financial model, P&L and cash forecasting, key financial analyses and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Business and 1-3 years of relevant work experience. Given the fast-paced culture and aggressive growth goals, this hire needs to be hands-on, highly adaptable, and able to multi-task.
Responsibilities:
- Data and Financial Analyses: Develop and maintain robust and flexible business models incorporating key revenue and cost levers that allow for short-term and long-term planning. This role requires a strong ability to handle and manipulate large amounts of data and ability to identify areas needing reconciliation.
- Financial Reporting: Provide detailed monthly variance analyses of actuals vs. budget to internal and external stakeholders. Analyze and interpret the business’s financial and operating results, providing business insights and making recommendations to improve. This role requires a strong ability to communicate and present clear frameworks and results of analyses.
- Annual Operating Plan and Ongoing P&L Forecasting: Work with department leaders to compile, analyze, and review annual budget; perform ongoing forecasts throughout the year as necessary.
- Departmental Partnership: Manage relationships with departmental leaders to identify opportunities for improvement, manage risks and opportunities, and provide key financial and business support to department leadership.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting, as needed.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or similar
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Excel skills required; Experience with SQL, Tableau, and Prophix preferred
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Demonstrated level of maturity and ability to handle confidential and sensitive material
- Comfortable with change and adaptable to new responsibilities
- Very strong attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
