This role will serve as financial support for key components of DigitalGlobe’s operations -- developing and improving the financial processes for a complex satellite operations organization. Additionally, this role will:

• Provide analysis and feedback on financial performance and key metrics including root cause variance explanations to highlight opportunities and risks on a monthly basis around budget and forecast versus actuals.
• Support and influences key operational and strategic decisions.  
• Advise on key business planning assumptions, trade-offs and opportunities. 
• Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize and prepare recommendations regarding complex financial transactions. 
• Responsible for presentation materials for Board of Directors, Monthly Business Reviews, SLT off-sites and earning calls.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
• 3 years of experience in an analyst role
• Ability to design simple information displays for effective analysis and communication
• Ability to collect, research and synthesize complex or diverse information
• Demonstrated quantitative skills including statistical analyses and financial modeling
• Advanced proficiency with Excel is mandatory
• Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a strong orientation to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP and BPC a plus.
• Accrual and cash-based accounting knowledge a plus.
