How you'll make an impact
In this role, you will work closely with the finance leadership team in analyzing & communicating company financial performance, business trends & key KPIs, and competitive intelligence to SonderMind's executives and board of directors. You will help the finance team improve existing processes and create efficiencies.
Success looks like

  • Able to effectively develop presentations and communications that show the financial picture to the board, executives, and leaders
  • Own certain files and then work on improving them to reduce the amount of time it takes to update/maintain them every cycle
  • Meet deadlines and complete projects with high accuracy
  • As you grow at SonderMind, this person will learn to tell the financial story to key stakeholders across the compan


What you'll do

  • Prepare presentations of financial and operational business results as well as analysis for the Board and executive leadership
  • Assist with month-end and quarter-end reporting responsibilities
  • Analyze key business trends and reporting findings to finance leadership
  • Monitor competitors and evaluate company positioning
  • Perform internal variance reporting with budget owners
  • Support the development and improvement of new and existing reports and input templates for efficiency and repeatability

Required Experience

  • 1-4 years of experience in a finance or accounting position
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically and solve problems
  • Able to work independently and proactively on assigned projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and company leaders both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field


Preferred Experience

  • Investment banking or consulting experience

  • Starting salary for this role is $55,000-$75,000. Actual title and pay are commensurate with experience and skills.
