FINANCE MANAGER - MARKETING

We are currently looking for a Finance Manager to join our Denver based team. As Finance Manager you will report to the VP of Accounting and will play an integral role in supporting PointsBet's continued growth and success.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

• Ensure accurate financial results by preparing financial data for the closing of monthly, quarterly and annual accounting cycles.
• Ownership of Marketing Department monthly close process as well as maintenance of accounting ledgers including monthly review of account reconciliations, journal entries and back up files.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting of all media and marketing commitments.
• Complete monthly and quarterly KPI's and variance analyses
• Provision of inputs to the FP&A team for forecasts & budget planning
• Assist in the preparation of key management reports and provide ad hoc analyses
• Develop & maintain strong partnerships with external agencies & media partners to ensure accurate billing & reconciliations
• Develop strong partnerships with the marketing department & other relevant stakeholders to collaborate and ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Ownership of internal and external affiliate commission reporting
• Assist in business process improvements with our offshore support team
• Contribute to system and operational improvement initiatives
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff members
• Collaborate globally with various Departments including Marketing, Commercial, Compliance, Legal and Product & Technology.

SKILLS WE SEEK

• Experience managing an end-to-end monthly close process
• Strong General Ledger (GL) management skills
• Strong understanding of US GAAP / IFRS accounting standards
• Proficiency with financial software applications
• Experienced working and manipulating large data sets
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office 365 tools, advanced in Excel & Powerpoint
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Strong communication skills
• 7+ years across similar roles
• Relevant experience at a Media / Advertising agency a plus
