How you'll make an impact...
This exciting new opportunity will have overall responsibility for developing and coordinating our strategy to service, grow and innovate with the fast evolving financial services sector globally. This role will work very closely with existing go-to-market teams focussed on the banking and broader financial services sector today in both landing and executing a pro-active and globally connected strategy.
This role will report to Xero's Chief Strategy Officer and work with the global executive leadership teams regional teams to advance and evolve our financial services relationships, including a wide variety of tried and proven commercial arrangements with major banks and a range of emerging, more innovative opportunities with a broader range of financial services organisations.
What you'll do
- Develop a strategy focussed on protecting and continuing to expand our relationship with hundreds of top tier banks across our priority markets, leading neo-banks and other select financial services players that collectively help us add more value to our customers, create competitive and grow faster
- Identify, develop and help communicate breakthrough opportunities that catapult us to the top of our financial services partner's agendas
- Work to elevate our relationship with key financial services partners to the most influential levels in order to facilitate decision making and action in the areas of proposed opportunity
- Drive collaboration across multiple parts our business so that as we move into new areas with and alongside some of our financial services partners, we do so in a globally considered and connected way
- Establish a clear play book for the types of propositions and engagement that is suitable with financial services partners based on the maturity of our own product in that market and the dynamics of that market itself
- Sponsor knowledge sharing across our business as it relates to enhancing our relationship with financial services partners
- Act as an industry thought leader that build Xero's brand and credibility
What you'll bring...
The successful candidate will bring more than 15 years of experience in a senior business development, sales or consulting role servicing large, global companies. You must bring a deep understanding of the global financial services industry and a proven track record developing and growing partnership in the financial services industry. With a demonstrated capability to manage complex, multidimensional relationships at the executive and working levels you will have extensive experience negotiating agreements with financial services institutions - large and small, old world and new
As a dealmaker and strategic thinker with an ability to execute in an evolving, ambiguous, fast paced environment you will have an ability to negotiate deal terms, build value for all parties and create long term partnerships of scale. Critically you will understand the needs and agenda of P&L leaders in large, global companies and jointly meet them through partnerships.
