The Equity Plan Administrator will be responsible for the day to day activities of the company’s global equity incentive programs, with a focus on regulatory compliance and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Maintain database integrity and ensure accuracy of recordkeeping of employees and equity data using Solium Shareworks and Equity Edge Online
- Process new equity awards and distribution of online grant agreements.
- Process all equity transactions including SAR, Tandem/SARs and RSU releases ensuring accurate and timely settlement of all trades, coordinating with US and International Payroll on accurate tax withholding/reporting
- Administer Executive Share Purchase Plan
- Administer ESPP plan via Solium’s Shareworks and RRSP accounts
- Perform monthly, quarterly and yearly reconciliation of records between Stock Administration and General Ledger, HR, Payroll, transfer agent, etc
- Assist in preparation of regulatory filings as needed
- Ensure that internal controls and procedures are followed to satisfy periodic review of compliance with Canada-SOX and U.S. Sarbanes-Oxley
- Provide excellent customer service to equity participants at all levels and to partners across departments
- Generate recurring reports for multiple internal and external corporate partners (e.g., HR, Payroll, Tax, Accounting, etc.), and respond timely to ad hoc data requests from business partners
- Provide accurate summary and back-up data for quarterly and annual filings
- Provide excellent customer service to equity participants at all levels and to partners across departments and respond quickly to employee questions in a courteous and satisfactory manner
- Assist with other projects as assigned
Basic Requirements
- B.A or B.S Degree required with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting strongly preferred
- 5+ years stock administration experience in a public company.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Citizen of The United States or Permanent Resident
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with both US and Canadian securities strongly preferred
- Experience with Equity Edge and Solium Shareworks
- CEP designation strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and strong customer service approach
- Must demonstrate ability to use discretion in handling confidential information
- Experience with Workday HCM a plus
