Position Description:
Conga is seeking an experienced revenue leader to join our finance and accounting team. A high-energy, hands-on individual that can work independently and as a team player. We are a growing company, looking for individuals to drive best practices, efficiency, and have a desire to learn and grow with us.
Reporting to the Controller, this person will be responsible to set and update revenue accounting policies and procedures. Leading a revenue team to review strategic transactions for software and services, as well as analyzing and reviewing closed transactions, support month end and quarter end close, prepare reporting, and work directly with our external auditors. This role will leverage the Conga CPQ and CLM systems in combination with NetSuite ERP. This role will be responsible for understanding and establishing processes and controls for SaaS contracts in compliance with US GAAP specifically ASC 606.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):

  • Maintain and update Conga Revenue Accounting Policy
  • Maintain and update Conga Bookings policy
  • Manage and mentor a team of 10+ revenue professionals
  • Ensure revenue recognition in accordance with the Conga's policy and SaaS revenue recognition accounting standard ASC 606
  • Interact daily with Legal, Sales Ops, FP&A, Sales, Pricing and Product business partners on deal structuring, deal approvals, go to Market strategies, contract negotiations
  • Address technical accounting inquiries from the business and provide guidance/implications
  • Identify and implement internal controls and process improvements
  • Review contract review summaries for complex transactions (for internal and audit purposes)
  • Lead financial audits for revenue, including reconciliations, support documentation, and communication with external auditors
  • Manage and develop controls over our SaaS related revenue
  • Provide training to other functional areas
  • Collaborate with the FP&A group on revenue forecasting


Qualifications:

  • Degree(s) in accounting and/or finance
  • 10+ years of experience in Finance and Accounting
  • Expert knowledge of ASC 606
  • CPA is preferred
  • NetSuite experience is required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead with all levels of management
  • Must have demonstrated presentation skills and able to easily present financial data in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • SaaS industry experience is required

The first component of that package is compensation and, generally speaking, base pay is determined by market location for each role. The following information is provided in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay Act. The general salary target for this position in Colorado is $174,151 per year. However, the base salary offered may increase (or decrease) depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, Conganeers receive a full range of perks and benefits, including financial, medical, and dental insurance. We also fund an annual bonus program, with payout based upon annual corporate performance and individual performance.
