The Who, What, Why and Where

The Director, Global Payroll will be responsible for establishing, monitoring, and scaling payroll processes and controls.  We are also looking for someone who can lead and mentor a team, and someone who is the subject matter expert around payroll processing and payroll accounting. 

The Director embraces and models Twilio Magic and is a trusted cross-functional partner to Global Benefits, HR, Legal, Tax and Treasury (among others) to proactively determine and execute on a strategic Payroll Roadmap, while ensuring regulatory compliance in the daily execution of the team responsibilities.

Who?

Twilio is looking for someone who can scale the payroll function and really elevate the payroll team to be seen as a strategic business partner.  You will also have:

• 10+ years in a leadership role over global payroll
• Bachelor’s degree or above
• Experience using ADP and WorkDay
• Accounting and operations/processing experience

The ideal candidate has broad compliance knowledge and is a true business partner to the HR team, providing guidance and support for corporate initiatives and international expansion. You will also be able to:

• Oversee and ensure compliance with worldwide, payroll related statutory regulations and internal controls
• Own, identify, communicate and proactively get ahead of business needs and corresponding scaling of payroll function
• Identify areas of opportunity to streamline payroll process, and reduce reliance on manual processes and procedures by implementing system related tools and interfaces
