WHO YOU ARE...

As the Director of FP&A at Maxwell, you embrace ambiguity, take a collaboration-first approach to planning, but can work independently to solve problems. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate detail-orientation when you handle financial analysis and modeling. You will play a central role in building the FP&A function at a hyper-growth SaaS company, and will partner cross-functionally with various teams to achieve financial goals. While your function is Finance, you enjoy working with other teams to deliver trusted, accurate, and actionable insights to enable the business to make the right financial decisions. As a result, you get a kick out of implementing processes to streamline and automate work, making financial KPIs and data easily accessible across the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING...

  • Lead the company planning cycle including the long-range planning process, annual operating plan, financial modeling,and monthly/quarterly forecasting processes at a business-unit and companywide level
  • Drive annual operating plan cycle including target setting, guideline creation, managing calendar and milestones and producing presentations for senior leadership and board of directors
  • Contribute to the evolution and execution of financial and operational updates for various internal and external stakeholders, including CEO, executive leaders and the board
  • Implement processes, frameworks and systems that allow us to capture and utilize timely and accurate data across the business to make better decisions as we become a more complex
  • Prepare executive presentations, including financial results and comprehensive business analyses and recommendations for senior leaders and the board
  • Establish and lead process to prepare financial forecasts across the company to help evaluate business and investment decision
  • Lead expense and liquidity planning efforts in partnership with senior leadership
  • Partner closely with Finance and Accounting team members as well as the leadership team to improve processes and forecasting accuracy across all areas of FP&A and assess and analyze critical business decision

IDEALLY YOU'LL HAVE...

  • Extensive experience in FP&A and progressive financial analysis
  • Background in financial services, fintech and/or B2B SaaS is a plus
  • Demonstrated success driving decision-making through influence through cross-functional collaboration across various levels and functions
  • Ability to execute on both short-term and long-term goals while finding solutions for today's challenges
  • Data-driven and goal-oriented - you measure success both quantitatively and qualitatively - and understand the importance of both
  • Extraordinary Excel / PowerPoint / financial modeling skills
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Passionate about transforming homeownership (but that’s a given!)

Compensation Range: $140,000-$160,000
