Director, Accounting
As Director of Accounting, you will be the right-hand person to the Corporate Controller and Chief Accounting Officer. He/she will manage the accounting close process and ensure that all financial transactions are executed and documented in accordance US GAAP. It is important that the person that fills this role is hands on and able to contribute as both manager and individual contributor, within his/her team as well as cross-functionally, most notably with other general and administrative areas. In addition, this individual will support the audit process to ensure satisfactory results including maintaining an effective control environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the maintenance of the general ledger along with the preparation and retention of accurate and timely daily/monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting
- Identify, implement and oversee the execution of necessary financial processes, policies, procedures and controls to ensure compliance with US GAAP and all applicable tax laws
- Organize and drive the monthly account reconciliation process to ensure that all key accounts are reconciled timely, with reconciling items addressed to ensure that the monthly financial statements are complete and accurate
- Organize and support the external audit process including the year-end close and normal cash management functions
- Review and explain significant account variances, when comparing actual, budgets and forecasts, including related key metrics
- Keep Corporate Controller and Operations leadership updated and informed. This includes developing strong cross-functional relationships and participating in cross-functional projects.
- Work with all levels of functional management within the Company to create an environment conducive to a service-oriented culture and continuous improvement

Professional and Technical Competencies
Accounting
- Strong knowledge of basic U.S. GAAP and internal control requirements
- Effective and efficient management of the closing process, including the implementation of best practices and the ability to leverage systems to automate processes and financial reporting

- Highly proficient in MS office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and an ERP system environment

Experience & Education Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant accounting experience required
- Minimum of 7 years of management experience
- Foundational public accounting experience preferred
- Experience with ERPs systems (NetSuite desirable but not required)
- SEC reporting experience preferred
- Experience in the software as a service industry preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
- CPA required
